Procedural Tracks

Procedural Tracks generates closed racing circuits from a seed in GDScript. The same seed, room shape and length tier always produce the same circuit.

• Six room shapes (classic, wide, tall, long, square, L) and five length tiers from compact to marathon. Longer tiers scale the room, not the corridor, so cars keep their size.
• Every circuit is checked: no self-crossing, the corridor never comes closer to itself than 320 units, the minimum driving radius is 147 units, there are two setup straights and no driveable shortcut across the infield.
• The payload has the control loop, an arc-length centerline with points at most 35 units apart, a 250-wide corridor, route identity and racing metrics.
• Layout helpers give you the start line, a four-slot start grid, evenly spaced checkpoints and the inner and outer road edges, with a scale helper for other world units.
• A plain Node2D builder (ground, road, edges, checkpoint areas, start grid, static boundaries), a headless JSON/PNG exporter, a preview renderer, a showcase sheet tool and a golden test of 68 circuits that pins seed identity.

Requirements

Godot 4.7, verified on 4.7.2 on Linux with the Compatibility renderer.

Not included

Cars, driving physics, opponents, race rules, textures, sound and a track editor. World units are pixels at a 250-wide corridor; scale the layout to your world.
